Product details

One of the only beer styles truly born in the USA, this classic American Cream Ale is medium-light bodied and smooth, gold in color and low in bitterness.

Cream Ales played a brief, but shining role in American beer history. As crisp, clean pilsners gained popularity in the US thanks to the influence of German immigrants, American ale-makers responded with a style that mimicked the lighter-tasting lagers sweeping the nation. Though nowhere near as wildly popular, Cream Ales remained an easy-drinking specialty style in the Eastern US for years to come.

Like the original, our Cream Ale is medium-bodied and smooth on the palate, gold in color and low in bitterness. Custom-built with quality ingredients, the recipe kit includes a specialty grain blend that adds some complexity with a clean, sweet malt profile and a hint of buttered toast in the aroma and flavor. A homebrewed "lawnmower beer," Cream Ale is pretty hard to beat as a summertime thirst-quencher.
