This famous German style is stronger than an everyday lager and is the fuel for Oktoberfest celebrations all over the world. The original pre-industrial Oktoberfest was called Märzenbier, brewed at the end of the brewing season in the spring to be lagered in caves all summer for fall and harvest festivities. Our kit will give you a full-bodied and elegant red-amber beer with a subdued German noble hop bitterness and complex malty profile that great all year round.

Due to the high starting gravity of this kit, we recommend pitching multiple packs of yeast or preparing a yeast starter for best results.

Delivery

Greetings! I received the kit however it was very warm, and I watched it sit next to the delivery truck for quite a long time not realizing my delivery was there. I unpacked it asap and felt the yeast warmth, quickly put it in the fridge. I went ahead and made the beer, I wont know for 2 months if it will be any good. I also didnt receive the correct mesh bags? I thought I bought 2 diff sizes lol. So I am just concerned for the yeast, it was really warm upon receiving.

My first time lagering in nearly 2 decades. Sat and did the lagering thing for almost 2 months and it came out just fine. Easy to drink as I've tasted it and now I am waiting the last 3 days for the final on after it was kegged. Great kit as the process went without a hitch. Would have been better for September/October. but it came out great.
