Mix-Stir - Stainless Steel

This thing is waaaayy better than trying to degas the wine by shaking the carboy and letting it vent. It does take a lot more time than you might think and we had to degas it a second time because we didn't get it all done the first time. The mix-stir tool is very well made and easy to clean, however the price for this was a little steep. I mean it's a helpful tool, but it's also a stainless steel stick with two plastic pieces on it.

I found that the stirring wand was of sturdy construction and functioned flawlessly. The price is fair, and perhaps may be considered low if the stirring wand lasts as long as it appears it will. Very satisfied.

I like this stirrer very much. Love the fact that it’s stainless steel and that the paddles are mobile so they can fold to get into small openings but then fan out when in motion. However the paddles are a flimsy plastic than I don’t trust very much and they are held together by a simple nut and bolt that becomes loose very easily. Perhaps the plastic is intended to not damage the inside of the whatever vessel it’s being used in. For the price tag I would expect those little 2 issues to be fixed.

Woks great, but will only go into carboy at certain angel-way and don't use drill on high speed. I use cloth in my hand to control shaft wobble, also don't have container to full because of whirlpool action of liquid being stirred will spill out liquid.
