I purchased 20-oz. flip-top bottles on Amazon. None of them held their carbonation for bottle conditioning. After comparing those wire bales with others, they were longer and thus did not form as tight of a seal. I tried modifying them and that did not work. Purchased these to replace them and, being slightly shorter in length, they hold a much tighter seal and have successfully allowed bottle-conditioning to take place. the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the red seal is more of a ring than a full button-type. So, i just swapped out the new red seal for the ones on the wire bales I was getting rid of. Works like a charm!
