From Blichmann Engineering, the "BrewMometer" has a unique patent pending dialface that guides the brewer through the brewing process, helping to improve quality and consistency. The hermetically sealed glass face ensures a long life. The BrewMometer features a large 3" diameter dial with low parallax stepped face, a fine pointer, crisp large lettering, and a custom made temperature range.
This version of the brewmometer has 1/2" MPT threads for installation in Polar Ware kettles or our modified Italian kettles. The stem is slightly too wide to fit through a weldless thermometer bulkhead such as Zymico's "Thermothingy," but it will work with our Weldless Adapter - #7552. The stem is only 2-1/2" long — long enough to get a good reading, but short enough to stay out of your way. Now availabe in an adjustable-angle model.
This has the same features as the 1/2" MPT brewmometer, but comes with an integral bulkhead for easy weldless installation in a stainless steel kettle. The patent pending weldless design forms a super rigid water-tight seal. Unlike other weldless thermometer options, this will not "wiggle" in the pot or leak. The stem only protrudes into the pot by 2-1/2" — long enough to get a good reading, but short enough to stay out the the way. Now available in an adjustable-angle model.
This is one of the nicer digital thermometers we have used recently. It has a range of -40° to 350°F (-40° to 175°C). The stainless steel stem features Quick Tip technology, which means that this thermometer reads the correct temperature within 8 seconds or less. It is waterproof, which makes it ideal for brewing applications. This thermometer is incredibly easy to calibrate — just place the probe in at least 1 inch of crushed ice and water and press the "Calibrate" button for two seconds. The ProAccurate Digital Thermometer also has a min/max function, and shuts off after 10 minutes of non-use. It is warrenteed by the manufacturer for five years.
Four-inch heat-resistant stainless steel probe and digital quartz display; reads in Celsius or Fahrenheit, with a range of 14°F to 392°F (-10°C to 200°C) and a typical response time of two seconds. Completely submersible and water-resistant (although the LCD display needs to be kept away from extreme/direct heat or cold). Min-max memory feature will read back the highest and lowest temperatures last measured - handy for finding hot or cold spots in a mash. Runs on one LR-44 button cell battery (included).
The Thrumometer is an in-line thermometer, ideal for measuring the temperature of your wort from a counterflow chiller. The interior of this thermometer is mirror smooth, providing no places for bacteria to hide. This thermometer responds very quickly (1°F per second), has 1°F precision, and 0.5°F accuracy. It never needs calibrating. If you use a highly-efficient counterflow wort chiller, the Thrumometer will help you avoid over-chilling your wort, and will save water. This instrument is made from a head-treated highly corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy that will last a lifetime! Requires 3/8" ID tubing.
