poly seal screw caps

Caps I bought are used on gallon glass jugs. The fit is a bit askew but snug enough to be water tight and easy to screw on and off. Caps are sturdy and seem like they'll hold up under heavy use- we store purified water for the household in the jugs. And it may be combination jug/caps causing the crookedness.?
