AKA Chico Ale yeast, 1056 American Ale is yeast starter is used commercially for several classic American ales and homebrew recipes. This wyeast nutrient strain finishes soft, smooth, and clean, and is very well balanced. Apparent attenuation: 73-77%. Flocculation: low-medium. Optimum temp: 60°-72° F

*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Used this yeast with a starter and it finished fermenting in 2 days!

Easy to use. Just make sure you smash the two bubble packs inside like it states. You MUST hit them hard in order for the for the ingredients to mix together before you use it.

Liquid is way better than dried

Have had consistant good results using Wyeast packets. Perform much better in my estimation than dried yeast products, especially in cooler climates. Fermentation begins in a timely manner. For ales, I will always try to use liquid yeast.
