Product details

Enjoy this American wheat beer for its medium hopping and neutral, oh-so-drinkable finish; this is one spritzy, refreshing, warm-weather crowd-pleaser.

Like their German cousins, American wheat beers feature large proportions of malted wheat in the grain bill and are naturally a bit cloudy in appearance. Unlike German hefeweizens, though, American wheat beers have a bit more hop character and are fermented with a milder-tasting yeast.

We packed all of that into a beer recipe kit built from the freshest ingredients. The result is a wheat with a wonderfully spicy, noble hop aroma and a satisfyingly clean, neutral finish -- a gregarious All-American beer brewed for sharing.

5 Star Review
Very Impressive - First Time Fermenter
This was my first home brew and I was very impressed with the over-all flavor of this beer. I am hooked now, there is no going back to commercial beer! I will definitely buy this kit again, it turned out great.

5 Star Review
Excellent - Garagebrewer
Great summer wheat. Everyone loves it. No one would guess it's a home brew! Finished first keg and they wanted to know when I could make more!

American Wheat Beer Extract

very good beer. I just popped one open today actually and tried it. it turned out wonderful. I fermented it in the big mouth bubbler. My first brew in that. I love the beer and the big mouth. You guys make it very easy to brew the beer at home. Your directions are very detailed and thorough.

Great beer on a hot day!

This kit has moved to the top of the list for light spring and summer beer drinking. Great on a warm day after the yard work is done. I brewed it up "plain", just following the recipe and it turned out great. But I could see adding honey or other fruit flavors as desired.

Unfinished brew/review.

This beer recipe was modified and is not yet matured. I will fully review this when I have had my 1st pint. After adding dark dme, “Loki” kveik yeast, switching the timetable on the hops, adding oak soaked in 8 years old rum, and adding U.S. Tattnung hops last 2 days before bottling, it is still a mystery.

What I can review is that all ingredients came in a timely manner, seemed of very good quality and condition, and upheld my expectations in that regard.

A more complete graded review will follow.

Success Again!

This is my second try at this fine beer. The first was excellent. So is the second. The people at Northern are not just saying they want to be helpful. They really are. I have contacted them for help several times and always received caring direction.

American Wheat "the go to" dont run out!!

Kegged two so I had a backup. This is the come home from work and have a couple or several on the weekend. I ran out too early last time. Easy drinker with a nice wheat domestic feel. Dare I say lager reminiscent. Keep this baby ice cold and use a frosty glass. My serving carb is about 8 psi which is perfect for this one at 36 degrees.
