This product upped my game!

I have brewed beer for over 25 years, moving from extract to all grain. Like most, I used gas burners and separate vessels for each step. Mash temps fluctuated and I never thought about wort recirculation. I wanted to up my game but didn't want to spend thousands of dollars doing it. The Anvil Foundry was the answer. This easy to use system provides the ability to set the mash temp and step mash pretty easily. The pump system simply and efficiently recirculates the wort. The mash pipe makes sparging possible and also makes it easier to dispose of the spent grain. The included wort chiller works better than my old copper standby. Cleanup is easier because there is only one kettle to clean instead of a mash tun and a boiling pot. Even with the 110 volt setup the unit heats reasonably fast. The 6.5 gallon version is ideal for 2.5-3 gallon batches, which I now brew instead of larger amounts. I look forward to brew day more than before because I can brew better beer more easily than before using the Anvil. My next project is fermentation temp control.

Anvil 6.5

I've been homebrewing since the eary 90s. I've had several different all grain setups most having a 10-11 gallon batch size.

I've been thinking I should go to smaller batches for some time. The Anvil 6.5 is just the ticket. I've used it twice and both beers came out very nice. I would recommend using the 240v if you are able to. The 240v will shorten your brew day considerably. Cleanup is fast too. Nice system that is easy to use.
