Candied Sugar

I purchased this euopean style candied sugar not for brewing but for a particular type of European cookie.... The recipe needed this kind of sugar and it was very hard to find. you shipped very quickly and the cookies were divine!

Great adjunct variety

Needed a replacement for maple syrup, and was delighted to see all the options in sugar that NB had available. A quick order and prompt delivery and we were in business. I'll be tasting this weekend!

Good Stuff

I used this in my own tweaked version of the Festivus Miracle Ale, and it worked very well. It's hard to say what specific flavours came from the Candi sugar against a sweet and roasty malt bill, danky hops, and holiday spices, but I can say all the flavours play very well together. A word of caution with this, as with any sugar, it can really dry things out if you're not careful. I had an OG of 1074, and finished at 1010 even after mashing at 155F and using WY1968. That's 86% attenuation! So keep that in mind when planning a recipe with this stuff.
