After years of surviving in cold climates, this Kviek yeast is ready for the tropical lifestyle. When used at high temperatures, POG produces an extreme amount of topical fruit aromas including pineapple and guava. At the lower end of the range, more delicate citrus, peach, and kiwi aromas are noticeable. The beer-style options are expansive for this yeast. Use it in a hazy/juicy IPA to complement the hops or use it in a sour fruited beer to maximize the extreme aromatics. POG likes to work fast at high fermentation temperatures. It is also strongly flocculent, which makes it great for a fast turnaround.

Beware the Giga-Krausen this yeast produces 40%

Great yeast

Used this yeast in a SMASH with galaxy hops, came out great. I’m hoping this will be back this summer to do more experiments with.

Great summer strain. Fermented at a high temperature, could’ve gone hotter. Ferments super fast and super clean. Made for a great first time approach at a 7 day, hazy IPA. Also had plenty to top crop from for the next batch. Brewed around August.

Kveik Power House Yeast

Yeast did a great job at fermenting a 1.090 OG DIPA within 2 days @ 90°F with no off flavors. Finished at 1.012. No giant 'POG' aroma / flavor from yeast. Dropped temp to 64°F to dry hop. Overall very happy with the results.
