Product details

It's time to meet your new warm-weather squeeze -- a clean, classic saison with a refreshing citrusy twist. Treat your taste buds to Lemondrop Saison. Like so many perfect pairings, this recipe unites two halves to achieve a greatness neither could ever reach on their own. Like peanut butter and jelly. Mac and cheese. Hall & Oates.

Pronounced flavors of lemon, melon and herbal undertones make Lemondrop hops a natural fit for the fruity esters and spicy phenolics inherent to the classic Saison style. Pouring with perfect synergy, Lemondop Saison shines a deep golden color, with moderate bitterness, a dry finish and an astounding depth of flavor. Bright, complex and absolutely quenchable, quaffable? We mean you will thoroughly enjoy drinking it. Preferably on a porch swing. Be sure to ferment this recipe on the warm side to ensure full flavor development and enjoy it while the sun shines.

Lemon drop saison

It came out amazing. I call it Mamma say mamma saw monster saison! Added lemon zest and blood orange zest for coloring. Came out proper!

Lemondrop Saison lose the Safale BE-134

The kit brewed up very well. Wort came out darker than I was expecting, but was still crisp like a Saison should be. Yeast (Safale BE 134E)bloomed well and attenuated wonderfully. The Esther's, however overtook the flavor of the beer greatly. Ended up a very banana-ey flavor that is too strong. Good kit. I'll pick another yeast next time.

Makes a great saison. The recommended Saisonstein yeast worked well.

Lemondrop Saison

I tried it when it was still a little immature and room temp.(not a bad thing)
The flavor was deep and rich, so I can't wait to taste the full potential of this beer, when on tap and cold.

Excellent Beer, Aggressive Yeast!

Beer is great, smooth, strong, excellent for summer. Brewed with BE-134 and it was a fast and aggressive fermentation. Don't drink the yeast! I thought I did a good job of syphoning, but there was still some active yeast when I cracked a bottle after a few days, and it wrecked my stomach. Either wait a few weeks before drinking, or if you are kegging, dump the first few pints.
