The fruit-forward, medium-bodied Merlot has prominent notes of black cherry, plum, and chocolate with a hint of vanilla on the nose. Its medium-full body, medium-high tannin, and medium acidity all help it go with a variety of foods, making it an ideal starter wine to your meal. Pair with mushroom pizza, steak quesadillas, spaghetti with marinara sauce, mild and strong cheeses - but make sure to keep some wine for dessert, as it pairs especially well with dark chocolate.

Always turns out great,, I have started to back sweeten recently to take it just off dry, my wife likes it better like that. Been in the bottles now for about a month, give it another 3 months then it really starts to “come around”

Table Wine

Northern Brewer is my “go-to” distributor. They have the best products and absolutely the best customer service. Now, this is an adequate table wine. If I processed this kit again, I’d include some grape skins or even some raisins… and use half the amount of oak. It’s a good wine for food pairing… The last bottle I opened was better than the first, so I’m led to believe that this vintage needs some time in the bottle to be really good.
