Product details

Whisk yourself off to a tropical island with a glowing pint of this delicious IPA.

Dazzling aromas of mango, pineapple, papaya, and grapefruit dominate the nose of this beer, showcased by its everlasting luminous white foam head. Packed with premium ingredients, this recipe kit yields a luminous, light orange ale that shines with subtle notes of fresh bread and warm biscuits, thanks to a substantial malt bill. Also evident is just enough sweet malt radiance to perfectly balance the vivid hop flavor and slowly fading bitterness.

Kick back, bask in the sun to enjoy this radiantly exquisite ale.
Brewing Notes:

  • Style: Double IPA
  • Fermentation Range: 60 - 73 F
  • OG: 1.074

It's hoppy.

Have brewed twice. First time hit the numbers +, second time much closer. Used US 05 both times. Good tasting beer.

Excellent home brew. Added 6g gypsom, 3g CACL and 3g Epsom to RO water. Mashed at 152, mashed out for 10 min at 170, boiled for 1 hr. No Sparge. Fermented on second use Voss Kveik (previous brew was an IPA using 1 packet of dry Voss). Fermented at 102 degrees. OG 1.066 FG;1.010. Really nice brew. Will definitely brew again. Beer was tasting great out of the keg a little under 2 weeks after brew day.

VERY GOOD RECIPE

I really enjoy how the Citra shines through on this beer.

Sweet finish

This turned out to be a nice IPA. I bought the kit on a whim during the “12 days of Christmas sale” and I’m glad I did. I would have given this kit 5 stars but the flavor profile was a bit sweet. If I brew this again I’ll use a drier yeast strain (used Verdant).

Pretty good taste and well-balanced IPA. However, OG was only 1.064 (supposed to be 1.074). Fortunately the FG was very low (1.002) which resulted in solid 8% ABV.
