The 8" funnel is a good size for transferring wort to your fermenter. This funnel fits easily into the neck of a 5, 6, and 6.5 gallon carboy. The strainer snaps into place to help strain out larger pieces of sediment.

Awesome funnel

One fine funnel/filter

Strainer issue

I ordered the funnel with the strainer, but there was too much sediment in my beer and the strainer kept clogging up. Instead I used the funnel without the strainer.

Funnels and Strains

I hoped to strain cooled wort as I poured it into the fermenting bucket. The funnel worked alright, but the strainer was a bit too fine and clogged very quickly for this application. I'm sure I'll find a better way to use it. Easy to clean, though, and price was great.
