Super Strength Key Lime Flavoring
A typical 5-6 gallon batch uses 1-2 drams (0.125-0.25 oz), depending on the flavor and desired intensity. Add the flavor during kegging or bottling, starting with the lower amount and adjusting gradually to taste. Mix gently and sample before treating the entire batch.
Flavor Profile and Beverage Ideas
Key Lime is bright, tart, and aromatic, with a sharper citrus-peel character than standard lime. Use it in gose, wheat beer, Mexican-style lager, hard seltzer, dry cider, or Ranch Water. It also fits sparkling water and craft soda when a crisp citrus finish is wanted. Coconut, vanilla, cucumber, and light salt are natural partners. In a dry base, Key Lime will read sharper; a little residual sweetness will make the aroma and finish feel fuller.
