The opener is a must if you are using brew Buckets. It is well made and takes seconds to get those hard to remove lids. A brewers must.

Plastic Bucket Opener - Saves your knuckles

Those 5+ gallon fermentation buckets with the red lids from Northern Brewer work really well. The only issue is sometimes the lid is hard to take off. The Bucket Opener takes stress away! Simply get it under the outside of the lid lip with the handle facing towards the center of the bucket, then slide it around the bucket - much like a tire tool for a bicycle. Works great!
