A Midpoint Review

As I write this, my batch of "Swig of Sunbeams" is fermenting away behind me. The CO2 bubbles popping through the airlock have such a wonderful smell, I can't wait to taste this one. At first I was concerned because it was so cloudy. Even 6 days in, and it was still thick and opaque. Being a rather novice brewer, I emailed Northern Brewer about my concerns, and as usual, they were quick to respond. They gave me some much hoped for reassurance as well as some guidance with temperature and timing. Sure enough, patience was the cure, and once the yeast party ended, and the foam cap fell, the batch started to clear up nicely. It will be a while still before I can taste it, but I can't imagine anything less than it being GREAT. All of the recipe kits that I have ordered from Northern Brewer have come out fantastic, and I have received very positive feedback from my friends. If I'm able to update a review, I will add my thoughts on taste once its ready. Cheers!

My Swig of Sunbeam…

The ingredients and precise recipe and procedure for brewing this batch made it a true clone. Compared to Sip O Sunshine, you wouldn’t know this was home brewed. I had perfect results.

Just made another 10 gallons and it is about two weeks from bottling. The prior 10 gallons was a great hit with friends and family, hence, why I needed to make another batch. When I was placing the batches into thee secondary, the samples were superior tasting already. You have a great recipe and was easy to follow. You will make many friends if you are wiling to share!
