Internal packet

Overall the yeast worked perfectly and provided a good solid 10% ABV imperial stout so I’m fine with 5 stars. The only concerning thing is the internal package that revitalizes the yeast. It was very difficult to use. I trapped it in the corner and gave it a good smack and thought that it had broken open, but 5 hours later I discovered that it was still intact. Again, the yeast worked perfectly so I’m a 100% satisfied customer.

Worked well in my Wee Heavy Scottish Ale!

I pitched 4 packages of this yeast in my 5 gallon batch of Wee Heavy and the fermentation was vigorous, the correct final gravity attained, and the taste is great!

Had issue with a Wyeast pack and multiple attempts to resolve were completely ignored.

I've used dozens of Wyeast packs over the years and have only once before, many years ago, had trouble with the inner pouch popping and when it finally did the side seam of the outer pack failed. Previous experience with William's Brewing was swiftly replaced but multiple emails and text messaging to Northern Brewer about the same issue recently have been completely ignored although I still get at least one advertisement email from Northern Brewer every day. Very lame and frustrating.

The two segments of the package needs to be broken with the smack to activate yeast. Give it a few to be sure!
